合同的主体部分我们已经讲解完了，今天我们来看一下合同的尾部（end）。

n尾部包括合同的备注说明，签约双方的签名，有效期，法规依据等内容。比如：this contract shall come into effect after signing by both parties. this contract is made out in two original copies, one copy to be held by each party.
n本合同经双方签字后立即生效。一式两份，双方各执一份。

n签约双方的签名通常要在双方约定的所有条款下方，这样才表示双方对所有条款都认同，否则就表示双方只认同签名以上部分的条款。通常，在签字的时候，不仅要有打印的字体，双方还要有手写体的签名。

n翻译合同时还有一些常用的词组，这些词组和我们平时所用的有些不同。我们看看下面这些例子：

n1. 尽管：在合同中我们通常使用notwithstanding

n2. 依据：according to; in accordance with; under; subject to; as provided in; ...

n3. 鉴于：hereof; hereto; herein; hereby; hereinafter; hereunder; whereby; whereas; ...

n4. 因为：because of; on account of; due to; attribute to; by virtue of; ...

n5. 保证：undertake to; represent and warrant; guarantee; warrant; ...

n6. 有义务做：be obliged to do sth.; have the obligation to do sth.; shall; be responsible / liable for

n7. 完成：effect; ...

n此外，对于合同的翻译，还要注意：
n1. 词序变化较大，尤其是状语的变化；
n2. 使用短语代替从句，应注意结构紧凑；
n3. 善于使用被动语态；
n4. 使用否定前提来强调。
